Why should we limit our clean-up activities and care for our local environment to just one day? How about we celebrate and come together for an entire month? CFWEP is inspiring local businesses, civic groups, and students to get out and make Butte shine. Beginning April 21 through to May 22nd, we will help coordinate groups doing clean-up.
How can you participate? It’s easy. Just visit our map to adopt an area that we have flagged for clean-up. If you need trash bags, gloves or assistance with disposal of trash bags, please fill out the form before your clean up day and we will coordinate logistics with you. Pick your date for clean-up, share your photos with us so we can brag about your group through our social media pages. Finally, fill out the form after you are done with clean-up, citing how many bags you removed and how many volunteers you had during your day.
Butte School District students at all of our elementary schools will be out the week of May 10-14th. Classes will be cleaning up around their schools, with East Middle School, Emerson and Whittier Elementary adding Blacktail and Silver Bow creeks to their target areas. CFWEP and our sponsors will be providing lunch for the students this week, so if you don’t have time to clean, but have some treasure to contribute, please see our webpage for donation opportunities.
The students of Anaconda School District will be out on Monday, May 17th. They will target neighborhoods and parks around their schools. Their clean up day will culminate with a softball tournament, an ice cream social, or a movie. CFWEP is also seeking donations to sponsor lunch for our Anaconda students as well.
