Earth Month Celebration 2022

April 22 – May 22

A community-wide clean-up effort beginning Earth Day!

CFWEP is highlighting superstar community members and businesses who are taking on clean-up locations around town. If you would like us to add your clean up efforts to our community calendar to help recruit volunteers during Earth Month, reach out to mwanamaker@mtech.edu.

What is CFWEP doing with Butte Schools?

Butte students will clean areas around their schools and local creeks in Butte during the weeks of May 8-18

Clean Up Butte with Students Week aims to:

  • Teach students about our local waterways with in-class instruction
  • Foster stewardship of our local waterways with real-world community service experience
  • Teach students about how stormwater is not treated in Butte
  • Put safety first
  • Reward students with a pizza lunch

Last year, participating schools included:

  • Kennedy Elementary
  • Margaret Leary Elementary
  • Hillcrest Elementary
  • Whittier Elementary
  • Emerson Elementary
  • West Elementary
  • East Middle School
  • Butte High Career Center
