What is CFWEP doing with Butte Schools?

Each year, CFWEP brings students in Butte Schools out into the community to help pick up trash. This year, our Clean Up Butte with Students (CUBS) week will take place May 8-18!

Clean Up Butte with Students Week aims to:

  • Teach students about our local waterways with in-class instruction
  • Foster stewardship of our local waterways with real-world community service experience
  • Teach students about how stormwater is not treated in Butte
  • Put safety first
  • Reward students with a pizza lunch

Last year, participating schools included:

  • Kennedy Elementary
  • Margaret Leary Elementary
  • Hillcrest Elementary
  • Whittier Elementary
  • Emerson Elementary
  • West Elementary
  • East Middle School
  • Butte High Career Center
  • Butte Central Catholic High School
  • Silver Bow Montessori
  • All Anaconda Public Schools
  • Montana Tech

Support CFWEP through RIPPLE

Our RIPPLE Campaign is launching alongside Earth Month! RIPPLE is an effort to grow CFWEP’s reach. Much like one drop of water causes a ripple effect, YOU can cause a ripple by helping bring others into the work CFWEP does.

Has CFWEP touched your life or that of your child?

If you’d like to support our work, grab a blue envelope at any Earth Month event, from our Leadership volunteers in the community or simply make a donation on our  RIPPLE website.

Every donation during Earth Month enters the donor into a drawing for a free three-month membership at Fairmont Hot Springs.

Donations of any amount will be matched by a grant from Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.
