Doug Ardiana, Bonner School Administrator
The CFWEP extends our sincere thanks to Doug, our first school administrator to receive the Volunteer of the Month award. Doug is a champion administrator at Bonner School near Missoula. He routinely gives the CFWEP space at his school for workshops, lectures and whatever else might be required. Doug has given the CFWEP carte blanc to work with any and all of his teachers on watershed-related issues and programs, and has paid all expenses on any field trips his classes have taken with the CFWEP, which have included outings to places and events like the Butte mining district and the Blackfoot Challenge Youth Field Day.
Doug also has involved Bonner School teachers and students in the Milltown Dam Education Program, the Watershed Education Network's Volunteer Stream Monitoring Program, and he has personally taken part in Milltown/Bonner redevelopment planning. With the extensive restoration and redevelopment of the Milltown Dam area well
underway just next door, big changes are afoot in and around Bonner, and Doug has worked diligently to ensure that his teachers and students are well educated on the issues involved. In short, he’s the man.
As the Milltown Dam is removed and the confluence of the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers is restored, the CFWEP looks forward to continuing to work with Doug and all at Bonner School .
Thanks, Doug!!
